Conference venues
The Conference will take place in different institutions in Ciutat Vella (The Old Town), all of them in the quarters of Raval, Gòtic and Ribera. The main venues will be the Facultat de Geografia i Història de la Universitat de Barcelona (Faculty of History and Geography of the University of Barcelona); the CCCB (Center for Contemporary Culture); the CSIC (Superior Council for Scientific Research) and some branches of the Museu d’Història de Barcelona (Barcelona History Museum) in city centre.
Affordable accomodation
Accommodation in Barcelona is often expensive in city centre in Summer, but it is possible to get lower prices in the outskirts and adjacent municipalities, and in student residences and hostels.
From the EAUH Barcelona Committee we will try to help people who have requested it to find cheaper accommodation by collecting updated data and facilitating contacts with:
(a) Hotels in the outer districts and in the Metropolitan Area with a direct and easy connection to the center of Barcelona by metro or railway.
(b) University residences and youth hostels, mostly with shared rooms of 2 to 6 beds, helping with the pre-booking process.
