City History Workshops, Saturday 5th

The Programme is fully integrated into the Conference and directly linked to its sessions, offering many opportunities for debate on urban history in the form of workshops, seminars, visits and urban trekkings through the metropolis of Barcelona, its research institutions and its civic associations. Most proposals will take place on Saturday 5 as part of the Conference, from 09:00 to 17:00.
The programme has more than 25 options in the confluence of urban history with the fields of archives and archaeological sources, heritage and museology, historical geography and city morphology, planning and public space, architecture and art history, and urban social movements.
It is developed by several university centers, research institutes, professional associations and civic organizations, with a particularly prominent role from the Barcelona History Museum. It is scheduled to be released in April for attendees to choose from and sign up for. No additional cost. Accompanying persons will be admitted if there are free places after July 17.

Barcelona & Catalonia, beyond the Conference

The visits on Sunday 6th will offer the possibility of taking a look at Barcelona and other places in Catalonia from an innovative perspective on history, heritage and people. It is scheduled to present the programme in April and it will be open to all attendees and accompanying persons from the beginning. Many tours will have an additional cost.
